The City Edition uniforms have become a big part of NBA uniform trends over the past several years (more than just a one or two game experiment). The Brooklyn Nets have probably garnered the most attention for their uniforms and the art background around their design. They have taken the city celebration, though, to the next level with a partnership with Budweiser to create a content series that honors the culture of the borough they are located in.

The Brooklyn Nets and Budweiser have come together to create a content series capturing the Heart & Soul of Brooklyn, and honoring Brooklyn’s own Notorious B.I.G. Listen to Joe Harris, Caris LeVert, and Spencer Dinwiddie tell their own Brooklyn story about how the borough continues to inspire them each day!

Trak's Take:

1) I think of Budweiser as the "every man's beer" and a campaign like this just ties into the image...making the brand approachable and showing a level of caring for fans of all backgrounds and interests.

2) The video series are a nice that brings an imagery to the campaign and a voice connecting the millionaire basketball players to the community they are living in. Unless Budweiser just hasn't paid for the content, we could see this being a weekly social media post (even reusing some of the videos throughout the season) to make sure they get seen. We had to dig a little on the Nets website to find the campaign.

3) Finally, as you know from other posts, we are big on partnership timing. Sometimes that is luck, but right now the Nets are the hottest team in the NBA, both on the court and interest-wise. With the "Big 3" now in town, this campaign has the potential to get many more eyeballs and capitalize on Brooklyn being "cool" currently.
